Kinološko društvo Ljubljana is the successor to a club founded in 1922. Its dog school runs puppy classes (levels I and II), basic obedience, summer and winter courses, IBGH and IGP training, plus agility, canicross and rally obedience. Individual training and pre-purchase consulting are also available.
KD Maribor in Maribor offers courses for beginners, sporty teams and exhibitors: puppy school, socialisation and obedience basics, basic and follow-up obedience, intensive tracking, obedience and protection courses, a veterans' class, agility, rally obedience, dog frisbee and a show-handling course. Enrolment is twice a year (March and September); individual training is also available.
KD Naklo has been educating handlers and training dogs for over 40 years. Twice a year (spring and autumn) it runs puppy school, basic obedience and agility courses for handlers of any experience level. Training takes place at the club's ground in Naklo and in urban settings for calm, controlled socialisation. The club also has a search-and-rescue dog unit.
KD Nova Gorica trains under the motto "where we school people and entertain dogs". The club runs obedience courses leading to IPS-A and BH-VT exams and practises rally obedience and agility. Participants can test their skills at club exams, and members take part in regional competitions and shows.
KD Novo mesto has been a Slovenian Kennel Club member since 1974 and serves the municipalities of Novo mesto, Škocjan, Dolenjske Toplice, Žužemberk and Mirna Peč. It runs beginner and advanced obedience courses that start with an introductory meeting for dogs and handlers. Practical training takes place on the club's ground by the Krka river in Graben.
KD Obala, with its training ground in Dekani near Koper, has united coastal dog lovers for decades. Training is split into puppy school, basic school I (A exam) and II (B-BH exam), followed by agility and rally obedience sections with their own instructors. Individual lessons are available, enrolment happens in March and late August, and the club runs a search-and-rescue unit.
KD Pluton trains on its ground in Ložnica near Žalec. Twice a year, in spring and autumn, it organises puppy school plus beginner and follow-up courses starting with an introductory meeting for handlers. The obedience programme leads to IPS-A and B-BH exams, while IPO, rally obedience and agility are offered for more ambitious teams.
KD Portorož organises dog training and agility courses on the Slovenian coast. New groups start with an introductory meeting at the entrance to Marina Portorož, with information also in Italian. Details are available by phone.
KD Posavje in Sevnica offers positive dog training covering basic obedience, play, learning process, socialisation and handler–dog contact, as well as aggression management and tracking. The programme starts with puppy kindergarten and puppy school, continues with obedience and FCI exam preparation, and offers IGP, rally obedience and agility for sporty teams.
The Celje search-and-rescue dog club has brought together people and dogs devoted to rescue for over 20 years, and also runs a dog school open to all owners: puppy school, basic school, a follow-up course, rally obedience and individual training. The club regularly presents its rescue dogs to children and at public events, with enrolment in spring and autumn.
Kinološko društvo Ribnica runs a dog school on its own training ground in Ribnica. The programme covers puppy school for all breeds, the A course, BH/VT course and agility, with exams organised in spring and autumn. News and sign-up forms are published on the website and Facebook.
KD Sežana is a kennel club on the Karst plateau. Training includes puppy school, the "Alternativa" programme and IPO for working dogs, plus consulting. The club also organises socialisation walks such as along the Škocjan educational trail, exams and hikes.
