Center Naraven pes ("Natural dog") in Medvode, minutes from Ljubljana, was founded by Tjaša Kovač, who trained in California with Cesar Millan. The school works exclusively one-to-one: training and rehabilitation sessions in Medvode and Grosuplje or at the owner's home anywhere in Slovenia, based on clear communication, motivation and force-free dog psychology. Boarding, walking and grooming are also offered.

CoolDog is a dog training clinic run by a team of instructors specialising in family-dog education. Group courses for puppies, adolescents and adult dogs run in Velenje, Slovenj Gradec, Celje, Ljubljana, Slovenska Bistrica and Postojna, with a focus on urban socialisation. Individual behaviour programmes, nose work and an online classroom are also available.

Daša in prijatelji is a family business in Šmartno v Rožni dolini near Celje where animals come first. Its dog school differs from classic courses: puppy class adds over five hours of real-life urban practice to five hours on the training ground, and the basic course prepares for the Slovenian Kennel Club's A exam. A small-animal hotel, grooming salon and club operate under the same roof.

Canisar is a society in the Goriška Brda hills training dogs in several fields: a dog school open to family-dog owners and a search-and-rescue unit that forms the core of its work, training rescue teams to find missing persons and detect scents. Members attend international IRO trainings and organise camps; the society works in Slovenian, Italian and English.

SAR.SI is a Ljubljana society combining a dog school with a search-and-rescue dog unit. Classes are split by age: Puppy Kindergarten for pups up to six months, Junior School for adolescents, an Advanced course for adult dogs and the "Party Dogs" group for continued training. Enrolment runs in spring and autumn on the society's own training ground, also used for rescue-dog training.

Društvo za reševalne pse Burja (Burja Rescue Dog Association) is in Prade (Cesta XVI/30) in Koper. Besides rescue work it trains companion dogs: in organised courses under expert guidance owners train their own dog.

Hera – oskrba živali, run by Bojan Kreft s.p., is at Veliko Ubeljsko 34 near Hruševje. It works on overcoming fear, socialisation, training, resocialisation and retraining of dogs.

Pri KD Ovčar šolanje temelji na pozitivni motivaciji – učimo z nagrado, igro in pohvalo. Posebno pozornost namenjamo odnosu med psom in vodnikom, saj verjamemo, da je prav to temelj. Pes, ki vodniku zaupa in z njim rad dela, napreduje hitreje in ostane zanesljiv tudi v zahtevnejših situacijah. Vodnik se pri nas ne nauči samo ukazov – nauči se razumeti svojega psa in z njim graditi skupen jezik. Poleg motivacije pa psu postavljamo tudi jasne meje. Doslednost in jasna komunikacija sta tisto, kar dolgoročno prinese rezultate. Delamo v majhnih skupinah, kar pomeni, da ima vsak par dovolj prostora in pozornosti. Del treningov poteka na poligonu v Crngrobu, del pa v urbanem okolju, kjer pse navajamo na situacije iz vsakdanjega življenja. Šolanje vodijo inštruktorji z licenco Kinološke zveze Slovenije.

KD Agility Ilirija is a Ljubljana club combining family-dog training with dog sports. Courses start with puppy school and its follow-up, then basic obedience with BH/VT exam preparation; sporty pairs can choose agility, hoopers, FCI obedience and rally obedience. Training takes place at the Koseze and Tomačevo grounds, and members compete regularly.

KD Barje trains under the motto "where dogs come first", accompanying owners and their dogs towards better education and a pleasant life together. A diverse team of instructors runs a range of courses for every need, from puppy school to advanced programmes. The club is also known for its annual dog shows on the Ljubljana Marshes and in the Polhov Gradec Dolomites.

Kinološko društvo Bled-Lesce (Bled-Lesce Kennel Club) is at Roblekovo naselje 9 in Lesce. Courses: puppy playgroups, puppy school, basic obedience, agility, rally obedience and a course in rubble, avalanche and missing-person search.

KD Celje has operated continuously since 1954 and has trained more than 7,000 handlers and their dogs. On its own ground in Lokrovec it offers every type of training and exam – puppy school, beginner and follow-up courses, obedience, protection, tracking, agility and rally obedience – with the focus on living well with a dog every day. The club runs year-round with clubrooms and a separate agility field.
