Alfakan is a dog school running group courses in Ljubljana, Maribor, Kranj, Ptuj, Trbovlje, Domžale, Ajdovščina, Izola and Nova Gorica. Courses focus on education in small groups of up to seven, held in urban settings for fast socialisation. Online courses and in-home individual training with a tailored plan are also available, plus a shop, podcast and blog.

Bajka is a dog school in Ljubljana (Črnuče) run by instructor Alenka since 2006. Owners are guided through all training levels, from puppy play sessions and puppy school onwards, in small groups with individual attention. The school specialises in courses for shelter dogs and adopted sighthounds and in mandatory rehabilitation of dogs officially declared dangerous, including expert opinions.

Pasja perspektiva ("Dog's perspective") is individual behavioural help for dogs and their people, run by behaviour consultant Ena Kobentar. She solves – and preferably prevents – behaviour problems with a non-coercive approach; her experience since 2014 comes from shelter volunteering and seminars. Services include behaviour consultations, group socialisation walks and pre-dog preparation, mostly in central Slovenia and towards Dolenjska, anywhere in Slovenia by arrangement.

Švrk is a Ljubljana dog school "for small and large dogs", founded by three friends and instructors within the Slovenian Tibetan Breeds Club. Puppies can join from two months of age, with owners learning to bond with their dog on the basis of mutual respect; follow-up courses raise the criteria and build persistence. Individual consulting is also offered.

SAR.SI is a Ljubljana society combining a dog school with a search-and-rescue dog unit. Classes are split by age: Puppy Kindergarten for pups up to six months, Junior School for adolescents, an Advanced course for adult dogs and the "Party Dogs" group for continued training. Enrolment runs in spring and autumn on the society's own training ground, also used for rescue-dog training.

KD Agility Ilirija is a Ljubljana club combining family-dog training with dog sports. Courses start with puppy school and its follow-up, then basic obedience with BH/VT exam preparation; sporty pairs can choose agility, hoopers, FCI obedience and rally obedience. Training takes place at the Koseze and Tomačevo grounds, and members compete regularly.

Kinološko društvo Ljubljana is the successor to a club founded in 1922. Varangian dog school, with a ten-year tradition, works in Ljubljana from its base ground in Fužine and other locations. Every student starts with individual lessons, so enrolment is open year-round. The programme spans First Steps and basic obedience with B-BH exam preparation, rally obedience and sport cynology (IBGH, IGP, breeding assessments), and stubborn, hyperactive or reactive dogs are especially welcome.
